Swansea

Swansea, the state's oldest historic seaside town, was settled in the early 1820's and named Waterloo Point. Pick up a leaflet and enjoy the stroll around today's Waterloo Point from Schouten House into town. Breathtaking views and unique birdlife abound.

South of Swansea, visit Spiky Bridge, an unusual convict built bridge completed in 1843. The nearby beach and headland is a popular picnic area with excellent rock fishing.

Golfers, we are a putt away from the Swansea Golf Course (Ph: 6257 8262) and Schouten House is an ideal base as you play a round or two.

Great Oyster Bay, Freycinet Peninsula and Maria Island

Sample farm grown berries, jams and homemade icecream and country produce at Kate's Berry Farm, just 3km south of Swansea.
